RBI - Officer Grade 'A'

Introduction

 

Purpose:

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the apex financial institution the country. Its functioning is different from the other banks. The Reserve Bank of India Service Board, Mumbai conducts an All India Exam for recruitment of officers in grade ‘A’ in RBI.

 

Eligibility:

Candidates must be graduates with 50% marks or Chartered Accountants or MBAs in the age group of
21-26 years.  Relaxation in age and qualification is admissible to categories like SC/ST etc.

 

Pattern:

The written test comprises of three papers. The first paper is objective and contains questions on Mental Ability, Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. The second paper is in two parts. The first part contains essay writing, comprehension and précis writing in English and the second part contains questions on General Studies. The third paper is also descriptive and contains questions on economic and social problems. Those who qualify the written exam are called for interview at Mumbai.

RBI - Officer Grade 'B'

Introduction

 

Purpose:

Eligibility:

Candidates must be graduates with 60% marks or Postgraduates with 55% marks or Doctorate with second class at post graduation or Chartered Accountants or MBAs in the age group of 21-26 years.  Relaxation in age and qualification is admissible to categories like SC/ST etc.

 

Pattern:

The written test comprises of three papers each of three-hour duration. The first paper is on English and contains essay writing, comprehension and précis writing, and business correspondence. The second paper is on economic and social problems. The third paper is objective and contains questions on Mental Ability, General Awareness, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. Those who qualify the written exam are called for interview at Mumbai.
