Purpose:

Life Corporation of India (LIC) and the General Insurance Corporation (GIC) recruit Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) through competitive examination. It is a Class I post and similar to Probationary Officers of banks in prestige. After their selection AAOs can choose administration, accounts or development as area of specialization.

Eligibility:

Applicants should be graduates with 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the age group of 21-28 years. Relaxation in age is admissible to reserved categories and employees of LIC as per laid down rules of the corporation.

Pattern:

Selection is based on the performance in the written test and interview. Written test consists of two papers. The first paper is objective and contains questions on logical reasoning, numerical aptitude, general knowledge and English language. The second paper is on English and is descriptive. Those who qualify the written test are called for interview. The examination is held from time to time and the details as well as the application form are published in the Employment News and other leading national dailies.
