Job Description:

These personnel are required to assess and monitor the family problems regarding condition of women and children. They also provide advice of family planning methods, health care, adult education and education and training of children.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate (BSW)/ Postgraduate (MSW) in Social work

They can find jobs in government and NGOs working in the field of women and chid welfare, e.g. National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCD), Central Social Welfare Board (CSWB), Crime Against Women Cells, etc. Many Corporate Houses have taken initiatives in starting welfare programmes for their workers and their families.

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 5,500 per month (excluding other allowances)
