Job Description:

A Newscaster presents news from the studio, reading from a script. Announcing involves informing the listeners/viewers about the program and sometimes presenting special programs. Announcers usually specialise for particular kind of program e.g. sports events. The third task in this area is that of an anchor. The job of an anchor is quite challenging as he/she controls the program and regulates the mood of the viewers/listeners. The job to an extent is personality based and the success of a program largely depends on the anchor. Amitabh Bachan has literally made a comeback to the glamour world and this time as an anchor of the highly successful television show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

Educational Qualification:

A Graduate in any discipline with good command on language and a well modulated voice.

Opening:

Television & Radio Broadcasting in Government and private organisations like All India Radio, Doordarshan, Foreign Radio News- network, Private Television network and inter-net presentations

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 7,500 per month (excluding other allowances)
