Educational Counsellors

Job Description:

Educational Counselor provides help and guidance in educational, personal and vocational matters. They work mostly with children and teenagers who have emotional problems or problems in learning or those whose behavior is a cause of concern. They treat such children and teenagers through personal counseling as well as by collaborating with parents and teachers and suggesting improvements in classroom management strategies and parenting skills. Educational Councilors also work with students with disabilities or bright and talented students and help schools in providing an environment, which is conducive for growth and development of such children or any such group of children needing special attention.

Educational Qualification:

Postgraduate in Psychology, with Diploma in Guidance and Counselling

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 6,500 per month (excluding other allowances)
