Producer

Job Description:

The producer like a captain of the filmmaking team. He is overall in-charge for the film and is responsible for conceiving the project, raising finance for the it, selecting the director and the cast, hiring other crew members, coordinating among various units, scouting for locations, interacting with outside agencies like the media and government agencies, solving day to day problems and finally marketing the film. Production Manager and Production Assistants help the Producer in his job.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate and Formal Training in film production or informal experience

Opening:

Film producers are generally entrepreneurs. However job as a producer may be available with Film Studios, Production Companies, Advertising Agencies and Government Departments making films.

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 7,500 per month (excluding other allowances)
