Director

Job Description:

The Director interprets the script. He is responsible for all the creative decision making pertaining to the film. The producer selects the cast, location for shooting etc in consultation of the Director. In fact it is the Director who takes the audition tests and selects the main cast of the film. He also decides on how best to use the technical and artistic resources available. His opinion is crucial in selection of the musical score of the film and as well as costumes and choreography. Sometimes the role of a director overlaps with that of a producer and therefore it is vital, for smooth making of a film, that they have good mutual understanding

Educational Qualification:

Degree from Film Institute of India or job experience

Opening:

Film Studios, Production Companies, Advertising Agencies, Government Department, which make films, own venture.

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 7,500 per month (excluding other allowances)
