Assistant Commandants In General Duty Branch
Job Description:
The
General Duty Branch is the operational branch. General Duty officers command
the ships at sea and also operate weapons and sensors, which requires wide
knowledge in the sphere of equipment. Their responsibilities also include the
safety of ships and men, manoeuvring of ships in times of war, as well during
peacetime operations.
Educational Qualification:
Male
Graduates in the age group 21-25 years, with mathematics and physics as
subjects’ up to 10+2 level and having passed the second mates’ examination
prescribed by the Ministry of Surface Transport are recruited as Assistant
Commandants in the General Duty Branch.

Remuneration:
Starting
salary is Rs. 8,000 per month (excluding other allowances)
