Job Description:
The
Technical branch is furth divided into Engineering Branch and Electrical
Branch. Officers in the Engineering Branch are responsible for the maintenance
and repair of ships and aircrafts and keeping them operationally fit. The
career in this branch is interspersed with technical courses up to postgraduate
level in India and abroad.
Officers
in Electrical Branch are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the power
generation and distribution system of the ship, its radio communication
equipments, radars and other sensors that are installed on board.
Educational Qualification:
Engineering
Degree in Naval
Architecture/Mechanical/Marine/Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Design/Production/Aeronautical
Control Engineering or equivalent qualification in any of these disciplines
recognised by the Institute of Engineers (India). Marine Engineering graduates
from IMET, Calcutta or those having Government of India Ministry of Surface
Transport Certificate of Competency as 1st Class Engineers of Motorship or any
similar certificate recognised by the Government of India. The age limit
for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in Technical Branch is 21-30 years.

Remuneration:
