A master in any prescribed field whether it is Tele communication, Engineering or Computer Technology. Always eager to exercise his expertise/skill to support or serve the troops and the organization in all types of trying situations whether in peace or war. Fields are open in Support Services for technically qualified women candidates. Technical graduate granted Short Service Commission have to undergo 10 months training at Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

 

How to Join:

A)             Technical Officer (Engineering Graduates) Through NDA

(i)       Type of Entry                         -    National Defence Academy (NDA)

(ii)      Mode of Selection                   -    Apply directly to the Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (TGC entry), Army HQ, West Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066.

(iii)     Advertisement Schedule           -    Advertised in all National Leading Newspapers/Employment News in Apr/May and Nov/Dec every year.

(iv)     Status Awarded                      -    Lieutenant in Regular Army.

 

Note: One year training at IMA Dehradun.

 

B)             Technical Officer Through University Entry Scheme (Through NDA) Pre Final/Final Year’s Students

(i)       Type of Entry                         -    Campus interview followed by SSB Selection procedure.

(ii)      Mode of Selection                   -    Apply in response to advertisement in Apr/May every year. Write to ‘A’ Branch of concerned Command Headquarters as specified in Advertisement.

(iii)     Advertisement Schedule           -    Advertised in all National Leading Newspapers/Employment News in Apr/May every year.

(iv)     Status Awarded                      -    Lieutenant in Regular Army.

 

Note: One year training at IMA Dehradun.

 

C)             Technical Officer Through University Entry Scheme (Through NDA) 10+2 PCM

(i)       Type of Entry                         -    Campus interview followed by SSB Selection procedure.

Note: Training schedule for this category is of four year and six months duration.

1 Year Basic Military Training at IMA following by 4 year’s degree course in Military Engineering College, Pune/Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow/Military College of Electronics & Mechanical Engineering, Secunderabad.

 

D)             Short Service Commission (Technical) Officers Training Academy

(ii)      Mode of Selection                   -    Service Selection Board Interview.

(iv)     Status Awarded                      -    Lieutenant in Regular Army.

Qualification:

A)             Technical Officer (Engineering Graduates) Through NDA

B)             Technical Officer Through University Entry Scheme (Through NDA) Pre Final/Final Year’s Students

(i)       Academics                             -    Pre Final/Final year of Engineering.

(ii)      Age                                      -    Between 20 and 26 years.

 

C)             Technical Officer Through University Entry Scheme (Through NDA) 10+2 PCM

(i)       Academics                             -    10+2 Pass with 70% aggregate PCM (Tech).

(ii)      Age                                      -    Between 16½ and 19½ years

 

D)             Short Service Commission (Technical) Officers Training Academy

(i)       Academics                             -    Engineering Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Architecture/Production/Aeronautical/Electronics/ Metallurgy Tele-Communication.

(ii)      Age                                      -    Between 20 and 27 years.

 

E)              NCC Special Entry Scheme (Technical)

(i)       Academics                             -    Graduate with min 50% aggregate marks and must be in Possession of ‘C’ Certificate with ‘B’ Grading of NCC Army Wing.

(ii)      Age                                      -    Between 19 and 25 years.

 

F)              Women Special Entry Scheme

(i)       Academics                             -    Graduate/Post Graduate/Engineering Graduate.

(ii)      Age                                      -    Between 19 and 27 years.

Remuneration:

Starting salary is Rs. 8,250 (excluding other allowances), which reaches an amount of Rs. 10,050 within 6/7 years.
