Dairy
Officer plays a key role in the smooth functioning of the Armed Forces as being
in the Support Services. His division runs and maintains the Dairy Farms and
Agricultural Farms. Animals like Cows, buffaloes are required for providing
milk for the troops and horses and mules for carrying heavy arms and ammunition
on higher altitudes, terrains. Dairy officer, thus, has a great responsibility
for maintaining Military Farms and ensures better quality milk products for use
of the troops.

(i) Type of Entry - National
Defence Academy (NDA).
(ii) Mode of Selection - Departmental
Screening Board and Service Selection Board Interview. Apply to Additional
Directorate General of Recruiting into (TGC entry) Army Headquarters, West
Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi in response to Advertisement during Apr/May and
Nov/Dec every year.
(iii) Advertisement Schedule - Advertised
in all National Leading Newspapers/Employment News in Apr/May and Nov/Dec every
year.
(iv) Status Awarded - Lieutenant
in Regular Army.
Qualification:
Through National
Defence Academy (NDA)
(i) Academics - Degree in Dairy/Agriculture.
(ii) Age - Between 20 and 27 years.

Remuneration:
Starting
salary is Rs. 8,250 (excluding other allowances), which reaches an amount of
Rs. 10,050 within 6/7 years.
