Description:
An
architect's job is to conceptualise, design and plan construction of any type
of building or complex from an individual residence to group housing complexes,
hospitals, commercial plazas, sports complex, factories and also gardens and
leisure areas, within the framework of the existing laws and regulations. An
architect is required to co–ordinate construction project, and is required to
direct, co–relate and integrate activities not only in the areas of sign and
execution but also in others like survey, soil testing, engineering, safety and
supervision. In other words they may be involved in all phases of development,
from the initial discussion with the client through the entire construction
process.

Opening:
A
qualified Architect is required to register himself with the Council of
Architects and then can practice his profession in a government or a public
organisation like Central Public Works Department (CPWD), National Building
Organisation (NBO), Town & Country Planning Organisation (TCPO), Housing
& Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO); or a private firm, or set up a
private practice. One can join the teaching profession or, can branch out into
interior design, product design, furniture design etc.
Remuneration:
Starting
salary is Rs. 8,000 per month (excluding other allowances)
